So this is the LOVE word script overlay design and its a clean two-tone valentine piece. Big bold red uppercase LOVE in a chunky serif font sits the foundation, then the cursive black handwritten Love crosses straight through the middle of the L-O-V-E letters with a long tail line that runs out either side and tucks into the L and E.
The contrast does all the work here. Red satin fill on the block letters, black running stitch on the script, no gradients, no shading, just two clean colours. Total 2-colour run keeps the price low for the customer and the stitch time short. The script tail extending past the chunky letters gives it that hand-lettered feel rather than a flat font dump.
I get loads of orders for this one around valentines day, but its not just a feb thing. Customers keep grabbing it for wedding programs, anniversary pillows, mothers day mugs rugs. One customer ordered fifteen on cocktail napkin sets last spring for a small intimate ceremony, and they came out crisp on white linen each one.
Best fabrics for this are white cotton, cream linen, oatmeal canvas, light pink waffle, the red letters need a clean ground to sing. Skip red or burgundy fabric cos the bold letters disappear into the background. Pale grey, blush, or natural cream is honestly where this design works best.
The whole run is only 4k to 11k stitches across the 9 size variants so its quick on the machine, real handy for batch jobs. Use a tearaway stabiliser on cotton, mesh cutaway on stretchy knits. Bobbin tension matters a lot here cos the satin needs to lay flat without showing white loops at the edge.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Valentines day cards and mug rugsThe 1.3 inch height fits great on a folded cardstock pocket for valentines mailers.
- Wedding programs and ring pillowsStitch on a small white satin ring pillow front for ceremony use, the script reads as proper handwritten.
- Anniversary pillow coversThe 4 inch width centres on a 12 inch pillow cover with room for a piped border around it.
- Mothers day gift setsStitch a half-dozen on linen napkin corners for a mothers day brunch table, white cloth with red letters pops.
- Cocktail napkin sets for receptionsStitched fifteen on cocktail napkin sets last spring for an intimate wedding, came out crisp every time.
- Tea towels and kitchen linensPop on the corner of a cream tea towel, fits the 3 inch size, gives a clean kitchen gift moment.
- Engagement gift handkerchiefsThe smallest 1.3 inch fits a hankerchief corner without crowding the hem stitching.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
