Front-on reindeer face looking straight out at you. Antlers branch up on both sides of the head the way regular reindeer antlers do. Then right between the antlers theres a golden horn pointing straight up. Big round reindeer eyes, a soft pink round nose not a red Rudolph nose but a softer dusty rose, and small rosy cheek circles. Youre basically looking at a reindeer that decided it was also a unicorn. Which sounds weird but it works.
Four colours and a clean moderate stitch count. The face fill is warm tan with a slightly deeper brown on the antler sections. Horn is golden yellow satin column, the kind that actually catches light when it stitches out on smooth fabric. Cheek details are a rosy blush. I kept the colour count low on purpose here because Im targeting onesies and smaller kids garments where you dont want the density getting too heavy. 19,970 stitches on the 7-inch biggest size, 9,709 on the smallest 3.28-inch. Digitised in Wilcom EmbroideryStudio so the horn underlay keeps it sitting straight even on knit fabric.
My niece-aged nursery customers ask for this every november and honestly that is a very specific market that is also very large. One customer wrote me and said her 4-year-old saw the design and said it was her favourite thing Im not even joking. Kids love the horn-plus-reindeer combo and parents love that its still clearly a christmas piece.
Stitch on a white or pale pink onesie for the littlest ones using the 3.28-inch size. Pop it on a pale lavender or cream kids sweatshirt for a magical holiday pullover. Use cutaway stabiliser on all knit and fleece, dont skip this step or the horn column will wobble. Hoop firm.
