Took me a while to get the forest scene inside this one dialed in properly. The deer itself is a full side-profile buck, solid black outline and black legs, but the body of the animal is cut open into this double-exposure style scene. Inside youve got tall pine trees in dark navy and green, the kind that taper to a point, and above them this teal to lighter blue sky. The antlers come off the head in that same soft light blue so they tie in with the sky colour inside.
Six colours total, the transitions between the dark trees and the teal sky background are the trickiest part of this file, customers asked me about this last christmas season and yes, those sections are properly underlaied so the colour separation stays sharp on fabric. The stitch count runs from about 18,700 at the smallest size up to just over 42,000 at the largest, which is 7.5 inches wide. Tape a cutaway behind your fabric before hooping because the directional stitching on the sky section needs that support or youll get some drag on lighter materials. Use a medium weight cutaway, nothing too stiff or itll show through on thin denim.
Works on navy, charcoal, black, or olive fabrics better than lighter ones since the black outer silhouette line reads best against a darker ground. That said, Ive seen it stitched on cream canvas and it still works because the teal and navy inside the deer body carry the whole design even if the outer black line is less dramatic. Skip busy patterned fabric completely, this design needs a clean solid base.
Best results in the 5-6 inch range on apparel. Trucker caps, denim jackets, canvas tote bags, and fleece quarter-zips are where this one belongs. Message me any time if you have questions about the file or a specific fabric youre working with.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
