The butterfly wings are actually the letters, the word Mama worked right into the wing shape so you read both at the same time. The upper wings have small floral details, little blooms and leaf shapes along the wing edges, and the whole design sits as a tall elegant shape. 1 colour, stitch count runs from 6,702 at the lower end through to 12,912 on the 4 inch version. Its a simple thread load, no colour changes mid-run and you dont need to babysit it.

Honestly I recieved so many requests for a Mama design that wasnt just plain text that I spent extra time on this one getting the butterfly proportions right. The floral details in the wings read clearly at the 2 inch size aswell, which isnt always the case with this kind of detailed wing fill. The digitising came together in Wilcom with proper satin columns for the letterforms and tight fill patterns for the wing florals.

9 sizes from 1.88 inches wide up to 4.03 inches, heights between 3.5 and 7.5 inches. Back it with a woven cutaway on jersey or knit fabric to stop the satin columns from distorting. Tearaway works fine on woven cotton and linen. Hoop snug and run at standard speed. Skip anything very dark if you want the fine floral wing details to show up clearly, theyll disappear on charcoal or navy.
