Clean heart outline with the word mama sitting right in the centre. Not a filled heart, just the satin-stitch outline with smooth curves and the text tucked inside it. The whole thing is 1 colour which means you can swap thread to match any project, no colour stops to fuss with. Stitch counts run from 3674 at the smallest 3.01 inch size up to 11856 at 8.01 inches wide, so its genuinely lightweight even at the large end. Built in Wilcom with a running underlay that keeps the satin line nice and even without buckling on cotton or linen.
Press a sturdy backer underneath before you hoop, especially on jersey or stretchy fabric. If youre stitching on a fluffy surface like a sherpa blanket or terry towel, press a piece of water-soluble film on top first so the satin outline doesnt get buried in the pile. 5 sizes give you alot of flexibility, the 3.01 inch version fits on a shirt pocket or a mug wrap, while the 8-inch goes big enough for a tote bag centrepiece. One customer last spring stitched the medium size in dusty rose on cream linen and dropped it into a Mothers Day gift box, said it was the one thing in the box her mum actually cried over.
Use a single strand of 40wt polyester or rayon for the sharpest outline edges. Avoid metallic thread unless your machine handles it well, the tight satin path will shred it pretty quick. Run a test on scrap fabric first if youre trying a new colour combo, light outlines on dark cloth read differently than dark on light.
