Its a jack-o-lantern thats actively melting. The carved face is already mid-snarl with those angled triangular eyes and the jagged mouth, and then the whole pumpkin is dripping in thick neon green slime that slides down the ribs and pools in big blobby puddles at the base. The stem has a lit candle growing out of it with an orange-yellow flame flickering at the top. The whole thing looks like something out of a nineties halloween cartoon and thats exactly the vibe its going for.

Seven colours and there are alot of them working at once. Amber orange fills the main body with dense directional satin. A second lighter orange sits underneath for the shading on the face carving area. Neon green handles all the slime in two shades, dark green at the top rim and bright toxic green for the drips. Yellow and orange combine for the flame. Black does the outlines, those face-cut features and the heavy edge detailing. A khaki highlight picks up the specular pop on the slime surface. At the largest size thats 102,991 stitches, which is a genuinely dense piece. Give it a good stabiliser setup.

Its for halloween proper. Customers who want something subtle for a general autumn look should check the other pumpkin designs. But if youre making halloween merch or costumes and want something that reads immediately as spooky, theres nothing ambiguous about a slime-dripping jack-o-lantern. One customer screen-printed this onto a kids trick-or-treat bag alongside the stitched version and said the embroidery actually looked better because the green slime had that dimensional drip quality the print couldnt get.

Stitch on black fabric for the full halloween effect. The neon green absolutely pops against a black base and the orange holds well too. Dark charcoal and deep navy also work. Avoid any light background, the design was built for dark fabric and the palette fights anything pale. Skip stretch knits entirely. The density at 100k on the large size needs a stable woven base.

Use a medium to heavy cutaway stabiliser. Its a high-density design and the slime drips have long satin runs that need firm backing. Hoop tight. A water-soluble topping is worth it on any textured dark fabric to keep those carved-face black outlines crisp. The bobbin thread matters here too, use a matching dark thread underneath so any bobbin pullthrough stays invisible on the dark base.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
