Built this one as a proper club badge and it realy commits to the bit. Round composition with the skeleton on the left throwing a peace sign, and the text arranged around it like an actual membership patch. Heres how the layout breaks down: 'Member' arches across the top in bold caps, 'of the' sits smaller underneath, then 'Old Balls' sweeps in a big cursive script right through the middle and 'Club' sits at the bottom in heavy satin block letters. Dot-dash border runs the whole circle edge. One colour, black, and thats all you need.

4 sizes from 4 inches to 7 inches square and the stitch range goes from 17,033 up to 29,750. Density is 606 stitches per square centimetre. The mix of script and block satin in the same composition is tricky to digitise because the tension requirements differ, but the Wilcom EmbroideryStudio work here keeps the cursive middle text from looking stringy next to the heavy slab letters below it. Layer a midweight cutaway sheet first on polo shirts and sweatshirts, tearaway on stiff canvas, and youll be fine.

This design sells alot as a 60th and 70th birthday gift. Ive had people order it for golf club polo shirts, for mens group hoodies, for a retirement party tote bag run, and one customer ordered 12 of them on black baseball caps for a guys golf weekend earlier this month. Stitch it on dark navy or black and it reads clean. Or go cream linen for a vintage club aesthetic, its a different vibe but still works.

Best placement on a polo shirt is left chest. On a cap it goes centred front panel. Pop it on a tote bag centred about 3 inches down from the top opening and its alot of visual for not alot of stitch time on the smaller sizes. Dont overthink the thread choice, theres only one stop in the file.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
