I wanted this one to feel quiet and respectful rather than celebratory, which is the right tone for Memorial Day. The composition has an American flag alongside a remembrance flower, probably a poppy or similar, with patriotic lettering completing the scene. Everything is measured, nothing is loud or over the top. The lettering sits in a font that feels dignified rather than festive, which makes it appropriate for more solemn Memorial Day pieces alongside the casual ones.

No dimensions on file but the composition with flag, flower and text typically works best at 3.5 to 4 inches to keep all three elements balanced. Density is set conservatively for the flag stripe fill so it doesnt overwhelm the flower detail. Tearaway on woven cotton, canvas or felt, cutaway if you're putting it on anything with any stretch. Keep the hoop tension even, especially around the lettering which needs to sit perfectly straight.

This works well on tees, hats, and tote bags for Memorial Day events, and also on items made as military tribute gifts. A customer made it for a lapel patch project to honor a family member and it was exactly the right weight for that kind of use. Also works on small fabric panels made into framed keepsakes.

Message me a chat note if the lettering color needs adjusting for a specific tribute piece and Ill sort it out fast.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
