The mermaid is the centrepiece here, a small cute figure with long flowing hair and a scaled tail, and the dolphin curls alongside her like theyre mid-leap together. The scene has waves sketched below them and tiny bubbles dotted around, all stitched across 17 colour stops with density at 1,112. Thats alot of colour work and the Wilcom digitising keeps the transitions smooth so you dont get hard edges where the teal tail meets the coral fish and foam details.
Build sizes go from 3.3 inches wide at small scale, climbing to 7.07 inches, with the stitch count running from 26,596 all the way to 58,952 at the full size. I had a customer message me last summer who makes girls bedroom accessories and she was worried about the colour count on cotton sheeting. Told her the 5-inch build on medium-weight cotton with a cutaway stabiliser would hold clean. She messaged back saying the dolphin detail was sharper than shed expected at that scale. Message me if youre working on a tricky base fabric and Im happy to advise.
Hoop onto a firm cutaway before you start because at density 1,112 there is real pull happening, especially in the tail and wave fill sections. Lay water-soluble film over any towelling or textured fabric to stop loops getting caught under the satin fills. Best on white or pale aqua fabrics where the full 17-colour palette can show at full strength. Skip dark navy backgrounds unless youre happy losing some of the lighter accent colours in the build. Stitch the small 3.3-inch version on a girls hair accessory pouch or pencil case for a quick project.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
