Lil chibi mermaid girl floating in the centre with her curly pink hair flowing out behind her, peach skin, a small peach shell bra top, and a teal aqua tail with proper scale detail that curls at the end. Around her four colourful starfish drift like little ocean friends, one red at top left, one yellow top right, one green bottom left, one purple at bottom right.
Hair gets directional swirl stitches so the curls look like actual ringlets not just pink blobs, customarily a fiddly area to digitise but Wilcom handles it well here. Tail scales are individually rendered, not just a flat aqua fill, so you can see the texture work close up. Twelve colours and 11 colour changes per file makes this a higher thread swap piece, but the density at 743 stitches per square inch is medium not heavy, more of a long thread parade than a thick fill.
Sizes go from 3.5 through to 7.5 inches wide. Use a tearaway stabiliser behind cotton, switch to cutaway under any stretch knit or jersey. Pop a topping film on towelling or fleece so the small face details on the mermaid girl dont sink into the fabric loops. Slow the machine down to about 700 spm on the smallest size since the starfish details and the face features get tight.
Best on plain pastel cotton, white tees, cream linen, or pale blue fabric so the rainbow of starfish and teal tail sing. Skip dark fabric for this one, the pale skin and pink hair just disappear into anything navy or black. Honestly its a daylight design, dont fight it.
People love it for mermaid party totes, birthday tshirts, pool towel corners, swim bag fronts, kids cushion covers and nursery wall hoops. One customer ordered a batch of 12 small sized mermaids for her daughters 6th birthday party favour bags this past easter, she said the kids picked their own starfish corner.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
