The mermaid sits with her tail curled to one side and shes holding her two hands up making a lil heart shape right over her chest. Real cute pose. Long lavender hair flows down past her shoulders, theres a coral pink starfish tucked above her ear. Closed smiley eyes and a tiny smile, no facial detail overload.
Tail is the showpiece. Teal scales fade soft towards a pale tip and the fluke fans out behind her body. Im a sucker for directional fill on scales because they catch the light a bunch of different ways depending on hoop angle. I drew this one for my niece last christmas, she wanted a mermaid for her swim bag and the heart hands bit was her idea.
Eight colours total. Peach for skin, lavender and a deeper purple for the hair shadow, two teals for the tail, coral pink for the starfish, white eye highlight and a thin black outline holding everything together. Stitch count runs 10k on the smallest 3.5 inch size and climbs to about 27k stitches on the seven and a half inch version.
Stitch on white, cream, soft pink or pale lilac fabric for the cleanest mermaid read. Pop the small hoop on a kids swim bag, library tote or birthday tee. Use the medium 5 inch on hoodie chest pockets and the big size on cushions or wall hoops. Skip busy patterns aswell because the soft palette cant compete against busy print.
Density runs friendly at 646 spi so its forgiving on jersey and lighter knits. Use a medium cutaway behind cotton tees, tear-away on canvas totes. Underlay does most of the heavy lifting on the tail and you wont see pull on the lavender hair if you hoop tight. Send a quick chat if the stitch density bunches on your hoop.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
