So much packed into one little frame. Aqua mermaid tail flicks up at the top, satin filled and so smooth it almost looks airbrushed. Below the tail, body is pink and magenta in a scaled patchwork that reads like watercolour blocks rather than realy clean tile. Teal scallop shell sits dead centre as the focal point.
Seaweed fans out either side. Magenta fronds on the right, deep blue and aqua leaves on the left, all on thin stem lines that connect back to a kelly green wavy line along the base, the seafloor I guess. Hearts and tiny dots drift through the empty corners. Adds alot of charm and the colour mix shouldnt work but somehow it does.
Eight colour stops including dark green, magenta, pink, dark blue, aqua and a couple soft pinks. But the stop sequence is sensible, big fills first then accent leaves and shell on top. Bottom green wave grounds the whole thing so it doesnt float on the fabric.
Best on a pale base so the colours pop. White, cream, pale pink, mint or soft yellow all work. Last month one customer wrote in asking for the medium 5-inch hoop on her daughters seventh birthday tote bags and the magenta really lit up on the cream canvas. Steer clear of deep colours here, magenta and aqua go muddy without a topping. And skip stretchy knit aswell, satin tail panels need a stable hoop or theyll pucker on the curve.
Densest size runs about 21k stitches, smallest sits near 9k so you have headroom from kids tees up through bigger towel panels. Use medium-weight cutaway under cotton wovens, two layers of tear-away beneath duck canvas. Hoop nice and snug, then do a quick stitch test on scrap first to confirm the sea-leaf jumps trim clean to avoid trail threads on the final piece.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
