Cooked up this one last holiday season and its probably the cleanest christmas script I've done. The words "Merry Christmas" are set in a thick bold italic lettering style and arranged so the whole composition reads as a round bauble ornament shape. Theres a green loop and a small bow at the top where the ornament cap would be, and tiny star accents are sprinkled through the letter fills. Its two colours, dark green and red, 1 colour change, which keeps the stitch time short and the bobbin swaps minimal.

5 sizes from 3.51 inches up to 7.51 inches wide, stitch count goes from 8,886 at the smallest to 20,712 on the largest. The red lettering uses satin fill with an underlay laid in first so the surface looks smooth and doesnt gap. Heres the thing, the density is set deliberately at the lower end so it works on lighter fabrics like linen and cotton muslin without pulling or puckering. Pop a tearaway behind woven fabric, switch to cutaway if youre putting it on a knit or fleece.

A customer wrote me just before christmas saying she used this on twelve canvas tote bags for her office gift exchange and had alot of people asking where she bought them. But the design also works well scaled down on a card or gift tag transfer project if you do mixed media crafts aswell.

Stitch it centred on a cream or white tee, or run the medium size on a plain cotton cushion cover. Pair it with a wreath design on the back for a coordinated christmas pillow set.

Behind every stitch

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
