The reindeer here isnt the cartoon round-faced kind. Its drawn in fine lines that trace the actual anatomy of the face, the brow ridge, the long nose, the layered antlers branching up and out. Alot of detail packed into a clean composition, with 'Merry Christmas' sitting underneath in a complementary hand-lettered style. Two colours, a warm tan or brown for the animal and a second for the text.

Five sizes, 3.4 to 7.2 inches wide and 3.5 to 7.5 inches tall. Stitch count is substantial on this one, 14,600 at the smallest and 30,600 at the largest. And the fine line details in the antlers require careful hooping and good density settings so the lines stay distinct. I tested this on cotton twill and the antler strokes held beautifully.

But its the face detail that makes this one stand out from the usual reindeer clip art approach. Directional stitching follows the muscle lines of the snout and gives the fur a real texture. Use a tearaway stabiliser on woven fabric and a topping on any textured cloth so the fine lines dont sink in.

I get alot of messages from people doing Christmas craft fairs who want something that looks more premium than the standard holiday fare. This lands in that space really well on dark fabrics especially, where the tan thread pops off the background.

Works on sweatshirts, canvas tote bags, christmas table runners, pillow covers. Pair it with a natural linen background for the most elegant look.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Elegant Christmas sweatshirtsThe 7 inch version on a dark navy or forest green sweatshirt gives a sophisticated holiday look that doesnt scream loud festive.
  • Premium holiday tote bagsOn a natural canvas tote the warm tan reindeer against the plain fabric creates a premium looking holiday market gift bag.
  • Christmas pillow cover embroideryStitch a large version centred on a plain pillow cover for a Christmas lounge decoration that works through the whole season.
  • Festive table runner centrepiecesUse a medium version as a centrepiece motif on a plain linen table runner with the Merry Christmas text as a natural focal point.
  • Holiday craft fair custom apparelSellers doing premium custom apparel at holiday markets will find this design stands out alongside the usual simpler options.
  • Christmas wall hoop artMount the large version in a 10 inch wooden hoop on natural linen for wall art that looks like a considered purchase not a kit.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
