Sketched out this lil round puppy after a bunch of customers kept asking for something kawaii but with a bit more texture than the usual flat cartoon. The face is basically a fur bomb -- dark charcoal and grey directional fills shoot outward from the centre in these spiky pointed rays, and sandy-gold threads weave through the tips so it catches the light differently depending on the angle. Two huge circular eyes take up alot of the face, each one built with concentric satin rings and a tiny white highlight dot. Its kinda more abstract sphere than actual dog shape, which is exactly the point.

Wilcom EmbroideryStudio routed the radiating fur spikes to minimise pulling -- the underlay runs at a low angle so the satin columns sit flat, 8 colours and eight colour changes across 4 sizes at a density of 1320. The eye detail uses tight concentric satin that stays crisp down to the 4.33-inch hoop size.

Cream or off-white tees are where this one really sings. The charcoal and sand pop hard against a light ground. I've stitched it on natural canvas aswell and the result is really nice -- you get this lil fluffy round face sitting on a neutral background like it belongs there. Use a medium cutaway stabiliser on jersey fabrics, the radial pulls from the outer fur spikes need the backing to hold registration properly. Skip the topping on smooth flat cotton, it doesnt need it.

One customer wanted 3 colours and nine sizes -- I explained that theres no simplified version of this design because the texture IS the design. You'd lose the whole thing if you stripped it back.

Drop a message if youre unsure which size fits your hoop and Ill point you in the right direction.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Cream cotton tee front chestThe 7.21-inch size fills a front chest perfectly on adult or oversized tees -- charcoal on cream is the best colour combo
  • Kids kawaii backpack panelThe 4.33-inch version fits a standard front backpack pocket without crowding the zip
  • Natural canvas tote bagNatural canvas holds the dense satin fur without any topping needed -- just a firm cutaway underneath
  • Zip-up hoodie pocket areaThe smaller sizes drop nicely onto a hoodie chest pocket area with room around them
  • Kawaii themed birthday shirtPrint the name below in a simple font for a birthday party personalised shirt
  • Baby onesie for puppy loversThe smallest hoop size works on a baby onesie centred on the chest with a soft cutaway backing
  • Throw pillow or cushion coverCanvas or cotton drill pillow covers stitch up clean -- the radiating fur looks great from every angle
  • Embroidered patch on denimHoop denim with tearaway and a water-soluble topping for a clean patch-ready result

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
