This one came from a request for something that felt like a genuine military tribute without being generic. A pair of worn combat boots sit front and center with an American flag and dog tags worked into the composition around them. The boots have real sole and lace detail, not a silhouette shorthand. The dog tags hang off the side and the flag wraps or sits behind, giving the whole thing a weight and gravity that a simpler patriotic design wouldnt have. It reads as a tribute, not just a holiday decoration.

No dimensions on file but this kind of detailed composition works best at 3.5 to 4.5 inches to keep the boot lace and dog tag detail readable. Density on the boot sections is set for good coverage without making the design stiff. Tearaway on woven canvas, cotton twill or denim, cutaway if you're putting it on any stretch base. Run at medium machine speed for the boot detail sections, the lace rows are the finest part.

Most people use this for Memorial Day and Veterans Day items, which is exactly right. A customer made it for a veterans appreciation ceremony gift bag and said the veterans receiving them were genuinely moved by the detail in the boots. Also works well on a small framed hoop as a permanent tribute piece for a military family.

Send me a chat note if the dog tag detail is stitching too small to read at your hoop size and Ill sort it out fast.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
