Three butterflies climbing up the right side of a thin triple-ring circle, each one bigger than the last. Single black thread, no fill, just outline work and fine wing detail. Density sits at only 205 which makes this one of the lightest designs I have in terms of stitch coverage. Its all running stitch on the rings and satin outline work on the wings, nothing heavy, nothing filled in. The whole composition stays open and airy and thats exactly the point.
One colour stop, one thread load, straightforward from start to finish. Use a water-soluble or light tearaway stabiliser here, cutaway would be too heavy for the low stitch count and youd see the backing through any light-coloured fabric. On dark fabrics the lone black outline reads sharp. Try it on denim, navy cotton, or dark grey linen where the outline work really shows. Stitch at normal speed, there are no dense fill areas that need slowing.
Five sizes from 3.36 x 3.51 inches at 5,235 stitches up to 7.18 x 7.51 inches at 11,049 stitches. At 11,049 stitches even the biggest size is quick to run, maybe 20 minutes on a home machine. The open circle centre is wide enough to add a monogram or short word inside after stitching if you want to personalise it. Hoop tight even on light fabrics because the running stitch rings need the fabric held very flat or the circle will come out slightly oval.
My customers buy it mostly for notebook covers, and Im not suprised, canvas bags, and tote fronts where they want something that looks drawn rather than stitched. A customer sent me a photo last spring of it on a cream canvas pencil case with her initials added in the centre and it looked like something from a stationery shop. Pick a contrasting thread colour if you want a more visible result, the design reads just as well in white on dark linen. Pair it with a filled butterfly design on the back panel if you want the two styles together.
What people are using this design for

- Minimalist t-shirt or shirt chest embroideryPlace the 4-inch on a white linen shirt chest for a minimal graphic tee without coloured thread fills
- Dark denim jacket breast pocket accentStitch the 3.5-inch on a dark denim jacket breast pocket area, black thread on denim reads sharp

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
