Its a continuous-line portrait, the kind where one unbroken thread traces the whole face and the flowers sitting in her hair without lifting off the fabric. I digitised this in a single colour so theres no colour changes mid-hoop, which keeps the stitch count low and the run time short. At the 3.5-inch size its 3,694 stitches and at the 7.5-inch it climbs to 6,067, so even the largest version stitches out fast on most machines.

The satin columns along the jaw and neck are narrow and directional, which means density stays at about 110 and you wont get that stiff board feel you sometimes get with heavier fills. Back this one with a soft cutaway stabiliser cut flush to the design edges. White cotton or natural linen reads the sharpest but Ive run it on pale grey jersey too and it looked clean. Skip any fabric with alot of texture weave because the fine lines can sink into the pile.

A customer who makes tote bags for a small boutique ordered this last spring and stitched the 5-inch run right on the canvas front. She sent me a note saying her stock sold out the first weekend. I was genuinely suprised by how fast that went. Use a topping film on knit fabrics to stop the fine outlines from disappearing into the loops.

Works great on denim shirts and lightweight canvas pouches too. Pick a thread colour that contrasts well since theres only one thread in the build and it carries all the visual weight. Holler if you need a size outside the 5 available or run into any issues with the download.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Tote bags and canvas shoppersThe 5-inch size centres perfectly on standard canvas tote bags with room to spare on each side.
  • Linen cushion coversNatural linen cushion covers pick up the single-colour line in a clean gallery-wall style.
  • Fashion tops and denim shirtsStitch the 3.5-inch version near the collar or chest pocket area on a lightweight cotton top.
  • Wall art hoops and framed embroideryFrame the 7-inch version in a natural wood hoop for a minimalist wall display.
  • Cosmetic pouches and zip bagsThe compact stitch count means it runs quickly on small zip pouches without puckering.
  • Bookmarks and small fabric giftsCut a small hooped piece into a bookmark shape and back with felt for a handmade gift.

Behind every stitch

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
