This face uses that continuous flowing line-art look thats been massive in fashion illustration for the last few years. One thick satin column traces the entire face profile, nose, lips and chin in an unbroken curve. The eye is oversized and almond-shaped with a deep terracotta fill, and the brow arch is a single bold stroke above it. No hatching, no fill on the skin, the negative space does all the heavy lifting here.
Eight colours total and the palette is quite restrained, black outline, terracotta eye fill, ochre hair mass on one side, ivory background stitch, and 4 accent tones for the lip and shadow areas. Wilcom digitised the hair section as one large flat satin fill so the stitch angle catches light at the seven-inch and larger sizes. Nine sizes available and the smallest 3.5-inch version still holds the face proportions without the line collapsing. Density sits at 652 so its not a heavy fill design and the machine doesnt struggle with it.
I got into this style after a fashion tote shop reached out last spring asking if I had anything less literal. She wanted face art that leaned more gallery print than cute character, this was what I put together for that brief. People have been buying it mostly for tote bags and canvas panels but it goes on denim jackets something fierce.
Back it with tearaway on denim or canvas, the lower density means the fabric wont pucker but you still want backing on wovens. Pop it high on a hoodie chest or centred on a flat tote panel, the design has height to it so you need vertical space. Skip textured fabrics like waffle or terry, flat satin finishes and smooth cotton are where the line detail sings. Any issue just Ping me and Ill sort it.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Tote bags and canvas shoppers for fashion-forward buyersFlat cotton canvas totes show the abstract line work cleanly without any distortion at the 6 or 7.5-inch size.
- Denim jackets and jeans back panelsDenim back panels have the surface weight to carry the bold lines well, use a tearaway for best results.
- Sweatshirts and oversized hoodiesThe tall composition fits a hoodie chest panel naturally and reads clearly from a short distance.
- Throw pillow covers and cushion artLinen or cotton cushion covers in cream or charcoal background make the ochre hair accent pop really nicely.
- Framed fabric panels and wall art piecesStretched over a canvas frame and finished with a backing, this design functions exactly like a print.
- Fashion brand promotional merchandiseThe minimalist style works well for brand merch that wants to feel contemporary and art-adjacent rather than logoed.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
