Three words stacked in a big chunky calligraphy block, each one a completely different colour. "Best" at the top in thick red satin-stitch script with those loopy swirling serifs, "Mom" in the middle in warm amber orange, big and bold with gorgeous heavy directional fill, and "Ever" sweeping across the bottom in sky blue with long curling descender tails. Two lil red hearts float on either side and a yellow sunflower on a green vine grows up the right edge, with matching leaf pairs climbing both sides. Its actually alot more colourful than I expected when I first digitised it, and the three-colour lettering reads really strong from a distance even at the 3.51 inch size. One colour per word. Done.

Tote bags take the 6 inch size nicely, plenty of room for all three colours to show from across the room. A quilter I know last month grabbed it for a set of cotton canvas aprons shes making for Mothers Day, and shes stitching them on natural linen twill. Stitch the 7.51 inch onto a cream pillow cover and it feels like a proper statement gift. On terry or fleece you definately need a cutaway underlay or the satin columns will sink into the loops, and dont skip the water soluble topping on terry or the lettering wont show through. Hoop tight on jersey too, the density on this one sits at 428 per square centimetre so loose hooping will pull those thick fill columns. Try a tear-away on canvas or denim instead. Center carefully before you start, specially at the larger sizes where "Ever" sweeps pretty far down below the baseline.

Give me a shout if the stitch order needs reworking.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Mother's Day gift tote bagTote bags take the 6 inch nicely, all three letter colours read clear from a distance.
  • Apron for the home cook mumStitch it across the bib panel on a cotton canvas apron, amber and red look brilliant against natural linen.
  • Kitchen tea towelWorks great on a plain white cotton tea towel, the tri-colour lettering stops it looking too plain.
  • Throw pillow coverA 7.51 inch on a cream twill pillow cover makes the whole thing feel like a proper statement gift.
  • Fleece blanketFleece needs a cutaway underlay or the satin columns sink in, but the result is cosy and soft.
  • Jean jacket back panelTry the back yoke of a denim jacket, the sky blue in 'Ever' picks up the indigo fabric colour nicely.
  • Canvas makeup bagCanvas zip pouches work brilliant at 4 inch, one colour change pass without too many thread swaps.
  • Hooded towel for granSmallest size on terry at the corner, use water soluble topping so the loops dont eat the lettering.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
