A teacher from Tennessee ordered this last spring, said she was gonna stitch something for her department head who just became a grandma and also a mum at the same time. She kinda just landed on this one after scrolling for about ten minutes and said it was exactly the right amount of sweet without being over the top. That reaction tells me everything I need to know about where this design sits.

Its a daisy, white cream petals going all the way around with directional satin stitching so each petal catches light at its own angle. The centre isnt the usual round disc, its a yellow satin heart sitting right where the disc should be, which is a small thing but it lands differently once its stitched out on fabric. A single thin charcoal stem sweeps left, and then to the right of the flower the words "best mom ever" flow out in a loose casual cursive, almost like someone wrote em by hand on the morning of Mothers Day. The whole layout is a wide horizontal banner, running 3.5 to 7.5 inches across and staying very flat in height so it lines up naturally along hems and seams.

Stitch counts top out at 7,268 on the 7.5 inch which is honest for that size, and the smallest at 3,310 stitches finishes fast. Hoop it on natural linen or cotton twill with a cutaway stabiliser underneath and the white petals stay solid without a topping because the satin density is tight enough to cover. On cream canvas the design kinda just disappears into the background, so use navy or sage green fabric where the contrast does the work. The yellow heart at the centre is small so check your bobbin thread is consistent before that section or the satin underlay shows through. Add a light tearaway on top if youre hooping terry cloth, helps the script keep its clean lines through the nap.

Pop the 4 inch size on a cotton apron bib about 2 inch down from the neckline and the daisy reads from across the room. Use cutaway on stretchy jersey or the script lettering will gap at the joins after the first wash. Avoid placing the 7.5 inch on anything smaller than a standard tea towel front panel, the horizontal spread needs room to breathe. Center carefully because the script extends further right than the daisy extends left, and the visual balance is off if its hooped dead centre without accounting for that.

Message me anytime if you want a version without the border.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Kitchen tea towelRuns clean across a cotton kitchen towel front, centred about 2 inch from the hemmed bottom edge.
  • Linen tote bagThe 5.5 inch drops onto a natural linen tote with enough margin left and right to breathe.
  • Baby bibStitch the 3.5 inch on a terry cotton bib, the tight satin petals hold shape through repeated washing.
  • Canvas zip pouchFits a 4 inch across a zipped canvas pouch front, the script stays crisp on the flat panel.
  • Cotton apronPlace it on the apron bib facing front, the wide daisy reads clearly from a few feet away.
  • Fleece blanket borderThe 7.5 inch at 7,268 stitches traces along a fleece blanket border with cutaway underneath.
  • Denim jacket yokeHoop the back yoke flat on a denim jacket, the directional petal fill picks up the fabric texture.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
