The quote reads across multiple lines in a flowing cursive script, Mom taking the top line in larger letters, the heart of the family stacked below in smaller text, with a heart accent element sitting in the composition. Two colours, the main script in one and the heart detail in a second, which means one colour change mid-run. The lettering style has that warm handwritten quality where the letters lean slightly, not perfectly upright, which gives it a personal feel. Dense satin columns throughout, density 538, so the finished piece has real weight and richness to it.

Stitch count runs from 12,565 at the 4-inch size up to 33,918 at the full 8-inch, which is a serious figure for a two-colour design. The density is what gives the lettering that thick, rich satin finish rather than a thin scratchy look. Wilcom kept the letterforms consistent across all five sizes so the script doesnt get spindly at the smaller end. Use a heavy cutaway stabiliser on any woven base, the satin coverage on quote designs this dense needs solid backing to stay flat and avoid buckling. Hoop tight.

Mothers Day orders for this one come in weeks ahead every year, kinda without fail. A customer last spring messaged saying she ran off four of the 6-inch versions for a family group order, one for each daughter to give to their mum. Said she stitched them all on cream cotton tea towels in burgundy thread. They looked gorgeous, she sent me a photo. Thats the kind of order I love, when the design actually brings a bunch of people together like that.

Stitch on cream or white linen or cotton for the most classic look, or use a warm sage green fabric with off-white thread for something a bit different. Best on home textiles, a tea towel, a tote bag, a kitchen apron, a framing fabric panel. Avoid stretchy jersey for this one, the dense coverage doesnt recover well on fabric with a lot of give, stick to wovens or canvas. Send me a photo when its done, I genuinely love seeing where these end up.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Family home apron for a mum who bakesApron front for the grandma who runs every family gathering, chest height placement makes it read from across a kitchen.
  • Framed fabric panel as a sentimental keepsakeStretched in a 10-inch hoop and framed, the 8-inch is a sentimental wall piece families hang for years.
  • Personalised tote for a grandma or family matriarchCanvas tote for the grandmother who is clearly the glue, practical and personal at the 5-inch.
  • Throw pillow cover for a living room giftThrow cushion on a reading chair in warm ivory fabric, the cursive script at the larger size fills the face without crowding.
  • Linen napkin set for a family gatheringLinen dinner napkin set, the 4-inch version at one corner of each piece, one colour change total per napkin.

Behind every stitch

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
