Tall narrow portrait layout, 'MOM' sits big at the top in chunky all-caps and 'I Love You' runs smaller underneath in a softer contrasting thread. Its a 2-colour design, so theres one colour change mid-stitch, but its a quick swap. The whole thing is narrow, between 1.4 and 2.23 inches wide, so it drops neatly onto a shirt pocket, a ribbon bookmark, or the corner of a gift bag without dominating the piece.
Stitch count runs from 6,333 at the smallest to 10,929 at the biggest, which is genuinely light. Ive used this one on cotton hankies and it came out clean both times. Wilcom handled the letterform fills so the edges stay crisp even at the smaller 1.4-inch width. Two colours means you can match any colour scheme, navy and blush pink, black and red, whatever your mum actually likes.
A customer messaged me this past spring asking for something she could stitch onto a set of 4 small white handkerchiefs for mothers day, one for herself and one each for her three sisters from their mum. She wanted something that wouldnt bulk up the fabric. Drop it, she said, I ran the 1.4-inch version and it worked perfectly on the linen with a light tearaway underneath. She came back later to say all four mums cried a little bit.
Use the tiniest size on a linen handkerchief or a gift ribbon. Stitch the mid sizes on a shirt front pocket or a baby bib for a first mothers day gift. Add it to a tote bag strap or a coin purse for something a bit more everyday. Avoid sheer or loosely woven fabric at small sizes, the letters are narrow and they need a stable base to hold their shape.
Run a light tearaway or cutaway stabiliser depending on the fabric weight. Skip dense backing on fine linen, it overwhelms the piece. The column work on the lettering stitches fast so dont rush the tension settings. If the letters drop stitches on very fine cloth, just Drop me a note and Ill check the density settings for you.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
