This is the mom life leopard bow design that does well on black tees and totes. The bow sits right above the M so it reads as part of the word, not a separate element, and the leopard spot pattern inside the loops uses amber fills with chocolate brown rosette clusters on a warm tan base. The lettering underneath is cream satin, bold and italic-leaning so it takes up space without being oversized. Only 2 colour regions in the file, which keeps the digitising clean and the thread changes minimal.

Nine sizes from 2.44 inches wide up to 5.23 inches, stitch range from 12,034 at the smallest up to 28,772 stitches. Wilcom handled the spot distribution with programmed fill so the clusters dont bunch or tile visibly, Im actually happy with how consistent the rosette spacing came out across the smaller sizes. Use a medium cutaway stabiliser for knit fabrics, the satin columns in the lettering will pull on stretch without firm backing. On woven cotton ya can get away with a lighter backing but I still prefer cutaway here because the bow panel is wide and a lil bit of fabric shift reads clearly in the finished piece. Stitch the lettering colour first, then load the leopard thread for the bow. Skip the temptation to swap these, the lettering needs its satin underlay down first or the column edges dont stay crisp.

Works best on black or very dark ground fabrics where the cream lettering pops cleanly. Last month a customer used it on a black canvas tote and told me the leopard colouring in the bow really came through, amber and chocolate against the dark background reads warmer than it does on lighter fabric. Also popular on black mum-and-me matching tees, the 2.44-inch size on a kids shirt and the 4-inch on the adult. Hoop properly with the grain straight and the italic stance of the lettering stays parallel to the garment hem. Add a medium tear-away under the tote canvas and its done in a single session.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Black tee chest or left-chest placementLeft-chest placement at 3-4 inches on a black tee keeps it tidy and fits inside standard collar-to-seam space.
  • Matching mum and child tee setMatching set works with the 2.44-inch file on a kids tee and the 4-inch on the adult for consistent scale.
  • Canvas tote or market bagA black canvas tote at 4-5 inches centred below the handles is a popular placement, the leopard bow shows clearly.
  • Sweatshirt front panelSweatshirt front at 5 inches sits well above the pouch pocket on a standard adult medium.
  • Zip pouch or cosmetics bagZip pouch or cosmetics bag at 2.44-3 inches fits most pouch fronts without running into the zip edge.
  • Apron bib for a Mother's Day giftAn apron bib at 4 inches is a practical Mother's Day gift with the design centred on the chest panel.
  • Baseball cap front panelCap front panel needs the 2.44-inch file, the bow width at that size just fits a standard structured cap crown.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
