The 7.23-inch version of this one sits at 37,337 stitches, and you feel that density when you hoop it. The charcoal script runs at about 688 stitches per square centimetre, which the pro digitising software had to carefully underlay so all those satin columns in the lettering stay crisp and dont pull the fabric into a pucker. "Mom" sits at the top in cerulean blue cursive, then the tribute verse fills the centre in near-black script, and a large flat-filled blue feather anchors the bottom left while a curving arc of tiny blue bird silhouettes sweeps up the right side forming a kind of loose circular frame. Needs a cutaway on stretchy tees but worth it, the tatami fill inside the feather and the directional satin on the letterforms hold beautifully after washing. Last week a lady stitching memorial quilts asked me which size to use on cotton muslin squares and I told her the 3.51-inch, small enough to repeat across a quilt block without overwhelming the patchwork. Use a medium-weight cutaway stabiliser under jersey or fleece, dont skip it even if the knit feels stable. Hoop the stabiliser alone, float your fabric on top with temporary adhesive spray. Skip topping on smooth cotton but add a water-soluble topping on terry or fleece so the bird silhouettes dont sink into the pile. Center carefully because the composition is asymmetric, the birds curve along the right edge so an off-centre placement looks unbalanced. Pick a bobbin thread close to the back of your project, the jump stitches between the bird shapes are short but on cream linen they can shadow through if you use a dark bobbin. Try the 4-inch on a canvas tote if you want a gift thats subtle, the 7.51-inch version really is meant for jacket backs or large pillows where you want it to read across the room.
Flag me down if the metallic thread frays on you.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
