The moth sits dead centre, wings spread wide, taking up most of the circular moon behind it. Its not a simple outline, theres alot going on inside those wings. Rows of directional stitching run along the length of each wing, and little dot details are scattered through the lower sections of the circle like a star field. The botanical sprig curls along the bottom left of the moon rim, leaves rendered with satin columns that taper to a point, which is one of those details that looks genuinely hand-done once its stitched out.
Two colours: white for the moth and most of the fill work, black for the outline passes and the botanical leaf details. On dark fabric the white goes almost silver depending on your thread brand, which is a look Im really happy with. A customer sent me a photo last spring of this stitched on black denim in white thread, and honestly it looked like something youd find in an art gallery gift shop. On cream linen it goes softer and more cottagecore.
These are dense passes. Stitch count runs from 14,747 at the smallest up to 32,381 on the biggest size, and the density sits around 676 per inch. That means you really do need cutaway stabiliser underneath, even if youre working on woven fabric. Hoop it snug. The wing fill sections have long directional runs and if theres any give in the fabric youll get the wings pulling inward. Slow the machine a lil bit on the wing passes and youll get cleaner columns.
9 sizes from 2.98 x 3.5 inches up to 6.39 x 7.5 inches. The taller proportion works beautifully on jacket backs and tote bag panels. Send me a note if theres any issue with the download and Ill get a replacement out to you straight away.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
