its the mother and newborn line art and This is one of those that gets people quiet when they see it stitched out. A mum bowed forward with a sleeping baby held tight against her chest, the babys head tucked under her chin and one tiny hand visible. The mothers long hair flows down and blends with the fabric of her clothing, all in one unbroken contour line. No fill, no shading, just flowing black running stitch the whole way through.
The line quality is what makes this work. Its not a mechanical outline, it has that sketchy gestural feel like somebody drew it freehand, but Wilcom kept it consistent across all 9 sizes. At the smallest 2.15-inch height the continuous line stays clean and legible. At the 4.6-inch tall version you can see the individual wrap of thread around the babys blanket edge. Single colour, 0 color changes, 7,150 stitches at the smallest end.
I been selling this one mainly to mums-to-be and mothers day gift makers. One customer ordered it for a personalised hospital gown for her sister who was due in march and sent me photos after the birth, it was stitched in soft black on white jersey and looked really moving. People aswell use it for framed new baby artwork and memory quilts, I get messages about it weekly.
Stitch on natural muslin or cotton grey fabric for strongest contrast. Use a light tearaway plus topping on woven because it dosent need heavy backing given the low stitch count. Pop it on pocket patches, towel borders, or the breast pocket zone of a shirt. theres the whole care requirement honestly. Skip busy patterned fabric here since the contour line needs a clean ground to read properly. Text me if the file needs any adjustment and Ill get back to you same day. Thats how I keep it clean every time, no matter the fabric. Email me if anything looks off post-download and Ill sort it.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
