Two figures, a mother and a child, rendered as a continuous-line or contour drawing. No details, no facial features, just the gestural shape of an adult crouching or standing beside a small child. The line runs around the forms without lifting, that kind of unbroken-stroke style you see in modern minimal framed prints. Density is very low at 57 stitches per sq inch because the whole design is a single running stitch path rather than filled satin shapes. Stitch counts go from 1657 at 2.57 inches wide up to 3129 at the full 6.85 by 8 inch size.

Because its running stitch line art and not a filled design, this stitches ultra-fast, under 5 minutes for the large size. Hoop a lightweight tearaway stabiliser on wovens or a soft cutaway on stretch, you dont need anything heavy for such a low density file. The thin line character means it works great on fine fabrics like linen, organic cotton, or even a tightly woven muslin. Avoid heavily textured surfaces though, the single running line gets lost in any kind of pile or raised weave. A customer last year ran the 5-inch in terracotta on an ecru linen pocket square and used it as a framing insert inside a shadowbox gift. Said her daughter cried when she opened it.

Use charcoal grey or black thread for a graphic clean look, or terracotta on natural linen for that warm handmade-drawing feeling. Reads as art more than embroidery, honestly. Stitch it on a plain fabric panel and pop it in a hoop frame, or put it on a tote bag for a gift that feels genuinely thoughtful.

Dont overthink fabric colour. Contrast is everything here since theres no fill to carry the image, just the line itself.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
