one of my regulars messaged last mothers day, she wanted a design for her own mum, who raised her and her sister alone after their dad passed. she sent me a reference of three figures, mother in the middle, two daughters tucked close. I drew this up from her brief and we both ended up tearing up a lil when the proof landed. Its now a regular gift design in the shop, especially around march and may.
The design uses 8 colour stops total, mostly the taupe of the mums dress, dusty pink for the daughters dresses, sage green for the floral sprig, and warm cream for skin tones. Density runs 1272 which is on the heavier side, so cutaway stabiliser behind any knit is non-negotiable. On linen or canvas tearaway holds fine. My fabric pick for this build is set. Learnt this one the hard way honestly. Heres my go-to fabric for this one. Heres something Ive picked up through trial. Quick gift-stitch when youre rushed.
Stitch counts range from 1313 on the lil 3.24 inch wide version up to 66267 on the 6.13 wide one, which is the most detailed. The tallest size hits 8.5 inches high, ideal for a tote bag, a quilt block, or framed hoop art. I sent a customer the colour list last april after she ordered, she asked me to walk her through the dress fill order so the bloom sprig sat clean on top of the taupe base. Pop the hoop off carefully when done.
The smaller 4 inch version works on a left chest tee or a small pouch. Skip sprig bloom the on anything under 3.5 inch wide, it gets muddy. Email me if your machine flags the colour change sequence and I can resend the file with the stops grouped by figure instead of element.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
