A motocross rider mid-wheelie with the front wheel lifted up clean off the ground, the rear tyre leaving a spray of dirt behind it. The rider is crouched forward over the tank in full gear, helmet facing forward, boots on the pegs. Youll see the frame, the exhaust, the suspension, all captured in enough detail that motocross people know exactly what theyre looking at.

Twelve colours is a big thread change routine but this kind of action illustration earns it. Red and white rider gear, black for the helmet visor and tyre, yellow number plate panel, brown dirt spray, orange and navy accents on the chassis. Stitch count goes up to 47,101 at the 7.51 by 6.93 inch size, down to 20,135 at 3.5 by 3.23 inches. Five sizes and theyre a good spread for everything from cap peaks to jacket backs. Density is 905.

Honestly this is one of those designs I get a lil surprised by how popular it is with lads making birthday gifts. Ya know, a bunch of blokes whose mate rides weekends, last year a customer was sorting matching crew jackets for a riding group and used this on twelve pieces back-to-back. The large format really holds crisp on a jacket back and I havent seen any thread issues on jackets that have been through regular wash cycles.

Use a cutaway stabiliser, theres no shortcut at this stitch count. Denim, canvas, thick cotton twill and fleece all work well. The dust spray detail loses sharpness on anything with visible texture in the base weave so smooth surfaces are better.

Pop it on riding crew jackets, kids motorsport birthday shirts, sports bags, custom patches for race day gear, bedroom cushions for any kid obsessed with dirt bikes. The 5 sizes work across all of those applications.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Motocross riding crew jacketsOn the back of matching jackets for a riding group the large 7.5 inch size fills the back panel and reads as a proper club piece.
  • Kids motorsport birthday shirtCentred on a white cotton tee for a kids birthday it makes a motorsport shirt that actually looks like real race merch.
  • Sports gear bag panelFront panel of a black sports bag gives the owner a personalised piece that stands out at a race event.
  • Custom race day patchPatch-hooped on twill and sewn to race day gear or a tool bag it becomes a functional personal marker.
  • Boys bedroom cushion coverStitched on a cotton cushion cover for a boys bedroom it turns a plain piece into a bedroom decor item they actually want.
  • Motocross fan gift toteOn a canvas tote as a gift for a motocross fan it holds up to regular use and the detail stays clear through washing.
  • Extreme sports themed hoodieOn the chest of a plain hoodie the 4.5 inch size works as a bold but wearable everyday piece for any rider.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
