The motorcycle city skyline concept started from wanting a classic biker patch but cleaned up for modern embroidery. Theres a big circular badge framing a chopper in the foreground, a city skyline of art deco towers behind it, all on black. The bright yellow border ring anchors the composition and makes it readable even from across a room.

Four colours: jet black ground, warm tan-brown for the motorcycle chassis and engine block, bright yellow for the circular border and wheel rim accents, clean white for the skyline silhouette and machine detail lines, with a pale teal on the two tallest skyscraper tops for colour separation. Its technically 4 main fills but the white line art on the skyline does a lot of heavy lifting to make those buildings read distinctly.

Theres alot of detail in the motorcycle itself. The exhaust pipes, handlebars, seat, fender all get individual satin or run-stitch treatment. Density is 832, which means it sits solid on denim, canvas and leather without pulling. Use heavy cutaway stabiliser and hoop snug on the bigger sizes, the chrome-style fills need a firm base or the detail lines wander. Stitch count goes from 20,148 up to 43,845, nine sizes between 3.28 and 7.03 inches wide. Wilcom built directional fills through the whole machine so the satin catches the light like its supposed to.

A customer asked about this one last summer, he wanted it for a custom vest he was building for a club event, ordered the 7-inch version and sent a photo of the finished piece. Looked exactly how Id imagined it on black leather. Skip mid-grey or cream fabric because the city silhouette gets muddy against pale grounds, dont fight it, stick to dark bases.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • biker leather jacket back panelStitch the 7-inch version on the back panel of a leather or denim vest for a road-ready patch that looks like it cost alot more than it did
  • denim vest chest or back embroideryRun the 5-inch size centred on a black sweatshirt chest for a graphic that works on the road or off it
  • motorcycle club gift or custom merchHoop the 4-inch version on a trucker hat front panel for a biker badge that travels everywhere the rider does
  • mens black sweatshirt or hoodie chestEmbroider the medium size on a charcoal canvas tote for a gift that a motorcycle fan will actually use daily
  • trucker hat or cap front panelStitch the larger size onto dark denim jacket back for a custom graphic that individual to the wearer
  • garage or workshop wall hoop displayFrame the 6-inch version in a deep-set shadow box with a black mat for a garage wall piece that earns its space
  • fathers day gift for a motorbike enthusiastRun the 3.28-inch version on a shirt pocket or sleeve for a subtle nod to the road that doesnt shout

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
