Sketched this out for baby's first birthday pieces and my mum stitched it onto my niece's onesie last september, sent me a photo and it came out exactly how I had imagined. The big black 1 sits in the middle and the cursive My and st wrap around it in red, with a crown perched right on top. Birthday flows underneath in that same red script and 5 little stars are scattered around the whole thing.

Two colours throughout, red and black, so theres only 1 colour change to manage which keeps stitching time down. Four sizes from just over 4 inches wide up to 7 inches. Smallest is kinda the sweet spot for a onesie or bib front, the 7 inch size works centred on a toddler tee for the party photos.

Back it with a tearaway stabiliser on woven cotton fabrics like onesie blanks and tee shirts. Use a medium speed setting on your machine, dont rush the crown detail which is quite dense with satin stitches. Stitch count ranges from around 9,200 to just over 18,000 on the largest so give yourself time on the bigger sizes.

Stick to polyester or rayon threads with good colourfastness for baby items that'll get washed alot. Skip cheap threads on red since it can bleed onto lighter cotton if the colourfastness is poor. Any issues loading the file, message me and ill sort it out same day.

Behind every stitch

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
