This is really really specific in the best way. A round cartoon pumpkin sits in the centre, eyes closed with these long lash lines, not grinning or scary at all. Shes got a purple polka-dot bow on top of her stem, kinda jaunty. Behind her a big number 1 rises up covered in five-pointed stars, and balanced right on top of the 1 is a tall black witch hat with a buckle band. A tiny spider drops on a thread from the hat brim.

Bats frame the left side, small and flat silhouette-style, and a handful of orange hearts scatter across the rest. The text 'My' sits top left and 'HALLOWEEN' runs along the bottom in chunky block capitals. Four colours across the whole design: pumpkin orange, charcoal black, the purple of the bow, and the orange hearts which are a touch warmer than the pumpkin body. Digitising on this is clean, the satin fills on the pumpkin and the star shapes are tight and dense, and the bow dots are punched in neatly.

I built this one after a new mum in my craft group asked for something specifically for a baby girls first halloween. She wanted cute, not creepy. The purple bow was her idea actually, and it ended up being the detail everyone comments on. Sizes run from 4.01 inches wide to 7.01 inches, only 4 sizes but theyre all in the medium-to-large range which is ideal for onesies and baby tees rather than pocket details.

Stitch on cream or white cotton for cleanest results, the pumpkin orange really glows on a pale base. Pop the smallest 4-inch on a white cotton onesie chest and its just right for a newborn. Use the 6 or 7-inch on a muslin swaddle or a bib set made from woven cotton. Dont try to hoop fluffy minky or jersey on the bigger sizes because 31,864 stitches needs a solid cutaway stabiliser and a tight hoop to come out flat. Skip fusible topping on the pumpkin sections or the polka dots can blur.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
