Ok so this lil sassy cat quote runs in mixed typography. My sits at the top in black block caps, cat next to it in red sweeping cursive, then I talk drops down in a red and black mix, and a bunch of paw prints rise up from the cats head in red. The punchline word lands in chunky black block lettering, and about you finishes it off in that red looping script at the bottom. On the right side a filled black kitty shape sits upright, tail wrapped round its feet, ears alert.
Two colours, jet black thread and scarlet red. The black cat silhouette is the dense bit, it carries about 60 percent of the stitch load on the larger sizes. 5 sizes total. The smallest 3.51 inch width clocks 9,708 stitches and the biggest 7.51 inch hits twenty three thousand six hundred forty one. Density is 451 which means you want a proper cutaway behind anything stretchy. Digitised in Wilcom EmbroideryStudio with the cat body running tatami fill and directional underlay, the lettering uses satin columns with proper edge run underlay so the cursive bits dont look chewed.
One customer sent me a photo back in march, she stitched the 5-inch on a black hoodie for her sisters birthday and used red thread for both colours instead of black-and-red. It looked sharp, real punky almost. Worth knowing ya can flip the colour assignment in your software if ya want a single-colour run.
Best fabrics: cotton, twill, fleece, sweatshirt material. Hoop with medium cutaway stabiliser for tees and a heavier cutaway for fleece. Avoid linen with very loose weave, the cat silhouette needs a firm base or the satin edges pull. Skip stretchy lycra without mesh stab. Add tearaway topping if youre going on terry or waffle.
Drop me a quick note if the file wont load on your machine, send a screenshot and Ill rework it for ya software.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
