Came up with this one after seeing how many people search for a proper baby first christmas keepsake design. Two red baby footprints sit at the upper left, they look like actual tiny footprints with the five toe bumps. Then MY in black block lettering, FIRST in dark green bold script, and Christmas sweeps below in a big red script with a heart tucked into the letterform. A small green holly sprig with red berries accent the upper right corner. Three colours, dark green, red and black, 2 colour changes, 5 sizes from 2.56 inches wide up to 5.48 inches.

Stitch count goes from 7,535 at the smallest up to 19,001 on the largest. The satin fill on the footprints needs an underlay laid in first otherwise the toe sections can pull on cotton knit, ive made that mistake before on onesie fabric. Cutaway stabiliser on any stretch fabric, tearaway on woven cotton. Run the machine at medium speed through the red script Christmas section because the swirling letterform has directional changes that can gap if youre going fast.

People order this one for a babys first christmas almost every year now, its been selling consistently since I put it up last october. A customer last december suprised me by ordering eight of them for her whole playgroup, each one for a different newborns december onesie. Thats kinda the season for it. Heres what to know.

Use the medium on a white cotton onesie. Stitch the small size on a baby bib. Fits well on a felt christmas stocking too. Simple layout. Works every time.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
