The lettering is rounded and soft, the kind of hand-lettered script where none of the corners are sharp and the whole thing reads friendly rather than spooky. Theres a small halloween accent alongside the text, a pumpkin or similar element, which keeps the phrase from looking like its floating on its own. Two colours, so its simple to thread up without a bunch of colour changes to manage. At 526 stitches per square inch the density is moderate and the letterforms sit comfortably on soft knit fabrics without creating too much rigidity under the thread.
Five sizes from 3.51 to 7.51 inches wide. At the small end youre at 12438 stitches, well within what any decent home machine handles without fuss. Use a medium-weight cutaway on cotton knit because baby items almost always have stretch to them. Dont pull the fabric tight in the hoop, just hold it firmly without distorting the grain. Add a water-soluble topping over any knit surface so the letterforms dont compress into the loop pile and lose their rounded edges. Stitch slowly on the first size if youre testing, just to confirm nothing is pulling before you commit to the final onesie.
This design gets ordered every September, mostly by grandparents and aunts making a first-halloween onesie before the baby arrives. One customer wrote me last year saying she stitched the 4-inch version onto a pumpkin-shaped stuffed toy her daughter could carry trick-or-treating, which I thought was a really sweet idea. Pick your base fabric in black or dark charcoal and the two-colour orange-and-contrast scheme shows up really clearly against it. Run a test sew-out on a fabric scrap that matches your final fabric type before you hoop the actual costume piece.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
