My sits in a small orange brushscript at the top, then the word First explodes below it in oversized charcoal black block capitals that take up nearly half the vertical space. Then Thanks flows across in orange script again, and Giving finishes at the base in solid black capitals. The alternation between the orange script and the black block text is what gives it rhythm. Small orange maple leaf clusters scatter at the very top of the composition, three or 4 leaves each, and orange and black stars dot around the outer edges.

Two colours. Burnt orange and charcoal black. Thats all it needs. Five sizes from 3 inches wide at the smallest up to 7 inches at the largest. Stitch counts go from 8,521 to 23,836. The density at 636 is solid but not excessive, the satin fills on the big block capitals need that weight to look full when stitched. Wilcom handled the thick-thin contrast well on the brushscript sections, the orange letters have a proper tapered stroke that holds on all five sizes.

This is purely a baby and toddler design, thats who it was drawn for. Thanksgiving is one of those holidays were people go all in on matching family outfits and the baby always needs something seasonal. I make a bunch of first-holiday designs and this thanksgiving one gets picked up every october and november without fail. One customer told me she stitched it on her grandkids onesie and then cried during dinner, which honestly made my day, didnt expect that reaction. I get messages like that around thanksgiving and it never gets old.

White or cream cotton and jersey are the best choices. The warm orange reads really well against a light ground. Stitch the 3-inch on a newborn onesie or a bib pocket. Go up to the 7-inch for a toddler sweatshirt front panel. Use a tearaway on woven fabric and a cutaway stabiliser if youre stitching on jersey, the wide satin columns pull on stretchy fabric without proper backing. Hoop the jersey tight aswell. Slow the machine through the block letter sections and dont skip the underlay pass or the letters wont sit flat.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
