My dad retired last spring and I spent alot of time looking for something golf-related that wasnt just a generic polo design. This one hit the right note. Its a text-only piece, two colours: dark green lettering and black, stacked in clean lines across the hoop area. The phrase reads left to right at a slight visual weight progression, so 'Course' lands with a bit of punch at the end. No clipart, no golf club illustration, just the words doing the work.

Built through Wilcom EmbroideryStudio where stitch density runs near 419 per square inch, which keeps the satin lettering nice and opaque on mid-weight fabric. And the two-thread construction keeps it simple for anyone who doesnt want a complicated colour change setup. Six sizes in the download from 3 inches up to 8 inches wide, stitch counts ranging from 7,503 at the small end to 23,297 at the large.

Best results on a polo shirt chest or a bucket hat brim panel. Lay tearaway behind a standard cotton weave or jersey knit. Skip light-coloured fabrics if youre using the green thread, the darker greens look richer on white or cream than on pastels. One colour change per size run, so its quick to stitch.

One customer ordered this May last year as a retirement send-off gift for their playing partner, went on a cream golf polo left chest with the 4-inch size. Thats kinda the typical use for it. For structured hats, go with cutaway stabiliser on the underbill panel to keep the satin columns flat.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Retirement gift polo shirt chest left placementThe 4-inch size sits perfectly on a polo left chest without crowding the collar or buttons
  • Embroidered golf bucket hat brim panelA 3-inch width clears the brim panel on a structured bucket hat and stitches flat on stiff fabric
  • Golf towel corner embroidery for club locker room giftsCorner placement on a standard 16x25 inch golf towel uses the 5-inch size with room to spare
  • Canvas tote bag for a retiree golf outingThe 6-inch version fills the front panel of a cotton tote without going edge to edge
  • Embroidered cushion cover for a golfers home studyA 5-inch version centred on a 45x45cm cushion front reads clearly from across a room
  • Zip pouch or accessory bag for a golf bag caddy giftThe 3-inch fits the front panel of a standard zipper pouch without any resizing needed

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
