Sketched in the style of those casual chalkboard hand-lettered signs teachers put up around the room. The text runs in three loose lines: in sits top left in small script, my tucked centre-right, then teacher era drops across the bottom in the biggest letters. Thats the reading order that makes it build to a punchline. Small florals fill the gaps between the words and tiny hearts sit in the curves. Its all in a loose oval so it works well as a chest or pocket badge placement without cutting off awkwardly at the sides.

Just 2 colour stops: black for the main lettering and most of the floral outlines, red for the fill accents inside the florals and the heart details. Simple stop sequence means youre not swapping threads mid-hoop. Wilcom EmbroideryStudio gave the script a consistent satin column width even at the smaller sizes where hand-lettered fonts usually start to break down. Density is 515 and the stitch range goes from 6,324 at 2 inches up to 17,815 at the 5 inch size.

A customer last autumn bought this for a whole grade-level team gift and asked about the pencil case fit. The 3 inch size dropped onto the front panel of a standard slim pencil case with room to spare. Stitch a test piece on your stabiliser combo first though, the script has tight curves and the hooped base needs to be firm to keep the lettering clean all the way through.

Use medium-weight cutaway stabiliser on knits and stretchy fabrics. Run tearaway on woven cotton, canvas, felt or denim. Skip topping unless youre on a heavy pile fabric. The florals use open satin rather than dense fill so they dont stiffen up after washing. Pair it with an ivory or white linen fabric and the two-colour contrast reads really well.

Best on teacher tote bags, pencil cases, aprons, lanyards and gift pouches for end-of-term. 5 sizes from 2.12 to 4.94 inches wide. Two colour stops. Text me if youve got questions about placement or stabiliser choice.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Teacher tote bags as an end-of-year giftThe 4 inch version sits perfectly on a standard canvas tote front panel with the oval shape centred and reading clearly.
  • Canvas pencil case front panel for classroom giftingAt 3 inches the design fits the front of a slim pencil case with space around the edges for a clean framed look.
  • Apron or lunchbox for a teacher appreciation eventOn a kitchen apron pocket the 3 inch size acts like a badge without overpowering the fabric.
  • Denim shirt breast pocket for back-to-school seasonA denim shirt left chest placement at 3 inches is a popular back-to-school look for teachers who want something subtle.
  • Gift pouch or small cosmetic bag for a teacherSmall zip pouches with this design make quick teacher appreciation gifts that dont require much fabric or stabiliser.
  • Framed hoop art for a classroom wall or deskMount in a 6 inch hoop with ivory fabric and place on a classroom shelf or desk as low-cost wall decor.
  • School staff shirts for first-day-of-school photosSchool admin teams have ordered this one on matching polo shirts for first-day staff photos.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
