Look this is the mystic cloud crescent moon design and its got that woodcut nightsky energy. A bank of swirling stylised clouds rolls across the top in deep navy with soft white highlights, each cloud curl spiralling like an old map illustration. A long thin crescent moon swoops down underneath the cloudbank like a scimitar curving back on itself. Tiny white star sparkles scatter through the negative space. Six colours, all moody.

Cloud bodies use directional satin running in tight parallel lines so the etched woodcut texture reads when youre up close, exactly the kind of detail that gets lost on cheaper digitising. Highlights are soft white satin shapes layered over the navy base for the rolling cloud volume. The crescent moon arc is one continuous tapered satin curve, thin at the points and fattening through the centre. Stars are small star-shape satins in white. Density runs 719 spi, biggest size hits 37k stitches, so its a medium-long stitchout on the largest piece.

I made this one for witchy boutique apparel, tarot reader merch and moody home pieces. Sizes range from 3.25 by 3.5 inches up to 6.97 by 7.5, so itll fit a tee chest, a tarot pouch or a black canvas tote panel. Last halloween, a customer ordered 12 of em for a tarot deck launch event tote bag bundle she handed out at a witchy book signing. Crowd loved em. Photos she sent were beautiful.

For best fabric, oatmeal linen, sage green canvas, dusty pink cotton tees, soft cream french terry, light grey muslin. Skip dark navy or black, the navy cloud body wont read against the fabric. Avoid heavy minky and thick fleece, the fine etched line work in the cloud fills gets lost in pile fabric, youll want a smooth weave that holds the directional satin lines clean. Smooth weave only.

Hoop with medium cutaway stabiliser and slip a thin water-soluble film over the hoop face if youre stitching onto soft jersey, the etched cloud lines need a smooth surface or the parallel satin runs dimple. Slow the machine on the cloud directional fill, the line work is what makes this design feel woodcut and rushing it makes the lines smear together. Six colours total but youll pause atleast five times for clean transitions, Ive suprised customers who skipped the colour stop and got tangled bobbins.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
