A witch with a secret, and she definitely isnt telling. The figure is a blonde woman in a massive black wide-brim hat, one finger pressed to her red lips, dark eyes holding contact. Her hair falls in loose wavy satin-stitched columns, cream-blonde, fanning across the front of the hat brim. The hat itself is huge, the point leans slightly, and the underside shadow is done in a dark charcoal fill so the whole thing reads as dimensional rather than flat.

Behind her, a full moon sits low and wide, stitched in tatami fill with a slight ring of blue-grey sky around the edges. Bats scatter across the upper background in silhouette, small and loose. The lower half of the figure melts into a dark dripping hem, the gown just sort of... dissolves. 8 colours, 8 and and 8 colours really do a lot here because each element has its own tone. 9 spans 3.5 through to 7.5 to 7.5 inches. Biggest at 43k stitches, smallest just over 1k.

I get messages from adults who want halloween clothing that isnt childish and this one is the answer every time. Works on black cotton, dark navy, charcoal grey. The cream moon fill and blonde hair both read clearly on darker grounds. Use cutaway stabiliser on anything that stretches, the directional hair stitching will pucker badly on jersey without it.

Pair it on a sweatshirt front for the person in your group who takes halloween seriously. Stitch the 7.5-inch on a tote with a phrase underneath like a personal mantra or just let the image do the work on its own. Avoid placing this on cream or white fabric, the pale skin and moon tones blend right in.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
