The cat's sitting on top of the big mushroom like he owns it. And honestly, he does. Grey tabby body, proper striped markings, bright yellow-orange eyes that glow, white chest and paws. On his head he's wearing a tiny version of the same mushroom he's perched on, red cap with white spots, worn like a hat. The tail curls up behind him in a thick striped arc. Around the whole scene there're 4-pointed sparkle stars dotted everywhere and swirly vine scrolls at the base. Three mushrooms total, two smaller ones flanking the big one he's claimed.

Everything's done in bold outline work with flat satin fills. The red mushroom caps are the dominant colour, really really vivid crimson red, and the white polka dots on each cap are tight satin circles popping against em. The grey tabby stripes are directional so the fur pattern actually reads as fur rather than a flat mid-grey. Bold black outlines hold every element together. 9 sizes in the pack from 3.5 inches wide up to 7.5, stitch count runs from around 21k up to 49k on the largest, its a genuinely complex piece and theres alot going on at density 1151.

My sister sent me photos last winter after she got this stitched on a cream tote for her cat-themed birthday and Im really not kidding when I say the bag got more attention than the birthday cake. I get messages from fantasy boutique owners and cottagecore sellers wanting something with real character and this one genuinely delivers. People've been buying it for halloween themed cat merch too which I didnt see coming but it makes total sense.

Stitch on cream, oatmeal, or white for the classic look and the red really punches. Try black for a more gothic or halloween feel where the sparkle stars catch all the light. Use the 7.5-inch on a hoodie back, a large tote panel, or a canvas pillow. Pop the 3.5 on a sleeve or pocket for something smaller. Skip busy patterned fabric, the detail'll get lost.

Cutaway stabiliser on everything because the dense satin fills and the detailed star elements need a stable base. Hoop tight and use topping on napped or textured fabric so the white dots on the mushroom caps dont disappear. If your machine skips on the fine vine scrolls at the base, ease the speed down abit. Bug me on chat if something stitches funny and I'll take a look.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
