Classic nautical setup. Centre ring is a lifebuoy quartered red and white in alternating segments, the kind you see hanging on docks. Behind it crosses a navy blue anchor with the shank running through the ring opening and the flukes peeking out the bottom. Cream coloured rope wraps the shank and runs across the front of the buoy in a couple of loops, tied off at one side with a small knot.

Suprised at how readable this stays even on the small 3.5 inch hoop. Hard edges hold on the buoy panels, the anchor flukes keep their pointed shape, the rope reads as twisted cord rather than flat line. Black outlines hold every shape in place. Whole design has that boat-shop signage feel, like its been hanging in a harbour shop for years and dont look out of place there.

Five colours total. Navy on the anchor and rim of the buoy, two reds for the lifebuoy quarters, white on the alternating segments, cream for rope, plus black for outlines. Stitch count runs 16k on the smallest 3.5 inch up to 39k stitches on the seven and a half inch hoop. I get messages from sailing club mums every spring asking for crew apparel options. One of em ordered the medium size last april for her husbands sailing crew shirts.

Stitch on white, cream, navy, sage or pale blue. Pop the small hoop on a polo chest, theres room on a canvas tote panel for the medium, the big sits on a hoodie back placement. Best on woven cotton or canvas aswell. Skip stretchy jersey on the smaller sizes cos the quartered panels tend to distort. One color tip. Cream on the cord catches the eye on navy fabric and youll spot the wrap clearly.

Density runs heavy at 989 spi so use a proper cutaway stabiliser. Tear-away on canvas, double cutaway on cotton tees. Hoop tight, ease the rpm down across the rope satin coils because they can shred if rushed and the cream wont hold. Drop me a chat note if a panel reads patchy on cotton.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
