One colour skull. Thats the whole deal. 3,543 stitches, density 220, one thread from start to finish. This is as stripped back as a halloween design gets, solid black, skull face, flat silhouette, 3.51 inches wide but only 0.71 inches tall. That extreme horizontal proportion is what makes it interesting. It reads like a face peering over a hem line, a zipper, or a pocket edge. On a black garment the skull disappears unless ya pair it with a light-coloured base fabric behind, thats the only placement note that actually matters here.
I get a lil bunch of messages every october from people who want batch halloween merch and dont want to deal with multi-colour setups. This ones a colour. Done. Density 220 on a single-colour fill this flat and wide means your stabiliser choice matters a lot. On woven cotton or canvas a medium tearaway works fine. On knit, go with a cutaway and dont rush the hoop tension, if the fabric is stretched too tight in the hoop, the skull face outline will distort when ya unhoop. Keep your machine at a moderate speed for the outer contour satin columns since the narrow 0.71-inch height means the bobbin thread shows quickly if tension slips. Use a fresh needle, 75/11 or 80/12 sharp, for the fine jaw tooth detail. Stitch at around 75% speed for those tooth columns specifically.
Pop it along the brim of a halloween beanie, across the chest of a black t-shirt, or along the hem of a pillow. Because the design is only 0.71 inches tall its great on narrow bands, sock cuffs, waistbands, zipper tape, anywhere a full skull motif wouldnt fit. A single hooping and a fast stitch-out. Good for batch runs on halloween merchandise. Works sharpest on white or light grey fabric where the black reads the cleanest.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
