Bold three-colour composition that stacks three totally different lettering styles on top of each other. 'Nurses' runs across the top in thick red brush italic, leaning right with real momentum. A syringe sits above it hooped in horizontally, thin satin stitch line work. Then 'DO IT' dominates the middle row in chunky black block capitals, white sparkle marks cut through the fill and theres small medical tool shapes worked right into the letter bodies. 'Better' closes at the bottom in a big red flowing script, and a stethoscope curls through the tail of the final letter.

White, black, and red, three stops. The density is 519 which is on the higher side, so youre gonna want a proper cutaway stabiliser for this one, especially on anything with stretch or loosely woven fabric. Wilcom digitising holds the satin tight through all 5 sizes from just over 3 inches to 7 inches. The block capitals in the middle are heavily filled so they really hold their shape, the stitch count goes up to just over 23,000 at 7 inch which is a good chunk of thread but the result is solid and weighty.

My niece is an RN and she asked me for this one last spring on a zip-up hoodie, said the nurses in her unit kept asking where it came from. Stitch it on sweatshirt fronts, scrub tops, tote bags, and canvas aprons. Use a good stabiliser rated for your hooping setup. Skip sheer or open-weave fabric with this design because the heavy satin fill in the middle needs proper support underneath.

Works for Nurses Week, nursing graduation gifts, staff appreciation packages, custom sweatshirts for hospital departments, and personalised aprons for the nurses in somebodys life who already know they do it better. Reach out anytime if the file gives you trouble and Ill get it fixed.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Sweatshirt or hoodie front for nursing graduation giftsFront chest placement on a sweatshirt at 5 to 6 inches gives the design the space it needs.
  • Scrub top chest for RN staff appreciation eventsChest placement on scrub tops at 3 to 4 inches is more compact but the lettering still reads clearly.
  • Canvas apron for the nurse who runs the kitchen tooApron chest placement looks good at 4 to 5 inches, especially on canvas or denim aprons.
  • Tote bag for Nurses Week gift bundlesNatural canvas tote at 5 inches makes the red really pop, especially on undyed fabric.
  • Zip pouch or cosmetic bag for nursing gift setsSmall sizes at 3 inches fit zip pouches well for gift sets, the block letters stay readable.
  • Custom sweatshirt for a hospital department teamDepartment sweatshirts in a matching colour are a popular staff appreciation gift idea.
  • Pillow cover for a nurse's home or break roomLarger sizes fill a pillow front well on cotton or linen covers in a neutral base colour.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
