Three colours, deep ocean blue, a teal middle band, white foam, built so the wave looks like its mid-curl rather than just a static water shape. The white foam at the crest uses short dense satin columns stitched in a scattered direction, which is what gives it that frothy look rather than a flat white block. The density overall sits at 102, which is a solid medium fill that holds up well on lighter fabrics without getting stiff.
Nine sizes from 3.5 to 7.5 inches, stitch counts from 2,025 at the smallest up to 37,033 at the full size. I get messages asking if the teal section reads as a separate colour at smaller sizes, last week someone asked exactly this, it does, down to about 4 inches, though at 3.5 it blends a bit more. The teal fill transitions from the dark blue edge on a curve, so keep your hooping snug before that colour starts. Use a medium-weight cutaway stabiliser on knit fabrics; on woven cotton or canvas a firm tearaway is fine.
Pair it on navy or white base fabric and the whole thing looks crisp; on a slate grey ground the contrast between the teal band and that frothy crest really comes through. Its clearly ocean but it doesnt scream surf brand logo, which means it works on canvas beach totes and swim bags but also coastal home items without looking too niche. Stitch the 5-inch on a canvas tote for a beach trip gift, or run the 4-inch on a cotton tee for a quick summer project.

- Swim bag front nautical designSwim bag in nylon with cutaway backing; the medium density holds well on synthetic fabrics through a whole swim season.
- T-shirt chest surf wave motifCotton tee left chest with topping film over the knit; the white foam satin is the detail that makes this design pop.
- Kids towel beach trip stitchKids terry beach towel with topping film first then medium cutaway; the foam section needs a slow needle speed on loop pile.
- Denim jacket coastal accent designDenim jacket chest or sleeve where the deep navy wave body blends gently into dark denim while the white crest does the work.
- Canvas pillow cover nautical artCanvas accent pillow for a coastal living room or beach house; the teal inner face reads clearly as a third colour at larger sizes.
- Hooded towel front wave panelHooded towel front panel for a beach trip gift; terry needs topping and cutaway together, not one or the other.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
