Reindeer face centred on top, antlers spreading wide and curling at the tips, big round red nose right in the middle, and underneath in clean satin lettering it says Oh Deer. Its a pun and it works. Ive been digitising christmas designs for a while now and the punny ones genuinely outsell the straight-faced ones every single season. People buy this specifically because it makes them laugh.
Two colours throughout. Warm brown fills the reindeer portrait using directional satin stitching on the face so the fur actually reads like fur and not a flat brown block. Red sits on the nose, which is the whole visual punchline of the piece. The lettering below uses a classic satin column with good tight underlay so it sits clean and doesnt pull up at the edges. Stitch count runs from 11,201 on the smallest 3.5 inch version up to 27,153 at 7.5 inches.
Hoop on medium-weight cutaway stabiliser for fleece or canvas. Tear-away works fine on firm quilting cotton but go cutaway on anything stretchy. The antler tips are done with narrow satin columns so ya dont want a floppy hoop causing registration drift. One customer last december ordered 3 dozen of these on matching family jumpers for a christmas party and she said even the smallest 3.5-inch version held the antler detail without any gaps.
Pop it on a cream, oatmeal or olive green base and the warm brown reindeer just sits there looking very pleased with itself. Customising the name or adding a year date above or below is a thing alot of my buyers do. Send me message if the file dosent open in your software and ill resend in the format you need.
