The woman at the centre has her hair piled up in a messy bun with a pink polka-dot bandana, sunglasses shaped like hearts with lashes embroidered right on the lens frames, and a whole cluster of Valentine stuff floating around her head. Theres a sprinkle donut, a pink envelope, floating hearts in different sizes, a heart-shaped coffee cup, and a Cupid arrow. Big bold hot-pink lettering underneath reads "one loved MAMA" with the MAMA in blocky chunky caps. Its got a lot going on, which is kind of the whole point.

6 colours total, and Wilcom mapped the density so the layered areas dont bulk up at the overlap zones. Dont skip the topping on this one if you're hooping a knit or terry cloth. Press water-soluble film over the surface to keep all the detail lettering from sinking into the loops. Stitch count climbs to 94,580 at the 8-inch size, so run it at mid-speed on the bigger versions. Use a firm cutaway under the sweatshirt fabric and keep the hoop tension even or the bandana satin will pull at the corners.

A customer last February ordered this for a matching set of sweatshirts for herself and her teenage daughter. She said the hot pink on heather grey fleece looked exactly like it did in the preview, which honestly is the thing Im most pleased about with this one. The satin coverage on the dense areas stitches out really cleanly on mid-weight sweatshirt fleece. Pick up at least a mid-weight sew-on cutaway if you plan to wash the garment regularly, the density at 1,626 needs proper backing to survive a machine wash cycle.

5 sizes from 4.01x3.63 inches up to 8.01x7.26 inches. Works great on sweatshirts, hoodies, canvas totes, and denim jackets for the chest or back panel. Ping me if you need size advice before you hoop.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Stitch on a crewneck sweatshirt as a Valentine's Day or Mother's Day giftHot pink reads really well on heather grey or white fleece fabric, high contrast
  • Add to a canvas tote bag for a fun everyday mum carryThe 4-inch size fits most tote pockets cleanly without crowding the handle area
  • Use on a hoodie front panel for a personalised giftA mid-weight pullover hoodie works perfectly, use a firm cutaway stabiliser underneath
  • Hoop onto a denim jacket chest pocket areaDenim sits flat under the satin coverage, no topping needed on a tight denim weave
  • Add to a fleece blanket for a Valentine or Mother's Day keepsakeA fleece blanket border panel is the right spot for the 6-inch version
  • Stitch onto a baseball cap front panel for a casual mom styleStructured cap front has enough body to hold the density at the 4-inch size
  • Use on a shop apron or craft smock as a fun Valentines motifCanvas apron fabric is ideal for heavy coverage and the design anchors the chest area

Behind every stitch

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
