An open book in brown and white sits centre, its pages fanned out slightly like someones mid-chapter, and scattered around it are the classic school supplies you know from every September morning, a pencil, a ruler, a little red apple perched up top. Six colours in the build, so theres alot going on, but the digitising keeps each element clean with its own satin outline and directional fill so nothing bleeds into the next piece. Mapped this one in Wilcom EmbroideryStudio, 5 sizes from 2 inches up to 4.65 inches wide, stitches running 5,672 at the smallest to 14,930 at the largest.
At density 459 this isnt a lightweight design, and I'd recommend a cutaway stabiliser rather than tearaway if youre stitching it onto cotton canvas or twill tote bags. The apple and pencil tips have some tight satin work that really needs a stable base or youll get shifting during the run. Back a knit polo or fleece with a medium-weight cutaway and youre good, teacher polo vests are probably where I see this used most.
A customer told me last August she put together 3 personalised tote bags for her daughters teachers as end-of-year gifts. She used the 4 inch size on natural canvas and said the red apple came out sharp and vibrant, even after washing. That kind of feedback is why I keep the stitch density on this one high, it holds colour better long-term than a lighter digitise would.
Hoop your fabric tight, dont rush the colour changes, and give the apple a water-soluble topping if youre working on a textured weave to stop the fibres poking through the red fill. Best results on poplin, denim, or canvas. Skip very stretchy fabric unless youve got good cutaway coverage underneath.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
