At density 459 this isnt a lightweight design, and I'd recommend a cutaway stabiliser rather than tearaway if youre stitching it onto cotton canvas or twill tote bags. The apple and pencil tips have some tight satin work that really needs a stable base or youll get shifting during the run. Back a knit polo or fleece with a medium-weight cutaway and youre good, teacher polo vests are probably where I see this used most.

She used the 4 inch size on natural canvas and said the red apple came out sharp and vibrant, even after washing. That kind of feedback is why I keep the stitch density on this one high, it holds colour better long-term than a lighter digitise would.

Hoop your fabric tight, dont rush the colour changes, and give the apple a water-soluble topping if youre working on a textured weave to stop the fibres poking through the red fill. Best results on poplin, denim, or canvas. Skip very stretchy fabric unless youve got good cutaway coverage underneath.
