Two ostriches stood together, one a bit taller with her neck up, the other half-hiding behind like suprised to be seen. Their fluffy white chest feathers puff out, those long orange legs run straight down and each one has this big round eye with real personality in it. Seven colours altogether: sandy tan body, white fluff, pale pink neck, black eyes, orange feet, soft grey shadow.

Smallest size is 2.36 by 3.49 inches so it fits on a pocket or a bag tag easily. Full size goes to 5.06 by 7.5 inches which is good for a centred front panel on a tote or the back of a light jacket. Stitch range 12,553 to 29,418 depending on size, so even the biggest version doesnt take forever.

The body feathers are tatami fill so they have texture rather than flat colour, and those leg sections are satin columns that need consistent tension or they can waggle off-centre on stretch fabrics. Use a cutaway stabiliser on jersey or knit and youll have no issues.

Works well on sky blue, coral, mint, cream and pale yellow fabrics. Also genuinely great on sand or tan coloured canvas which picks up the body colour in a nice way. One customer last year ordered multiple sizes for a safari nursery collection and sent me a photo, the pieces looked really lovely and I was honestly chuffed she shared it.

Pop it on the front pocket of a toddler tee or the side panel of a nursery shelf basket. The pair of ostriches standing close together is what makes this one special, theres something about seeing those two birds side by side that just makes people smile. Text me if a size feels wrong for your project and Ill talk through the best fit with you.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
